She is a bit of a wanderer, having lived in 16 cities in Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Georgia, and the Federal Republic of Germany. She graduated from Valparaiso University in 2008 with a B.A. in German and theology. She was consecrated to diaconal ministry in 2010 by the Lutheran Deaconess Community after training for three years with the Lutheran Deaconess Association. She completed an M.A. in biblical languages and literature at Loyola University Chicago in 2013 and moved in a southerly direction for the first time in nine years.

Amanda likes 1) Doctor Who, B) British TV and radio, 3) languages, iv) tea, 5) travel, 6) coffee shops, g) reading, viii) banana juice, 9) pretending to be crafty, and *) thinking thinky thoughts. NPR and PBS rock her socks straight off her feet (which explains why they're always so cold!). She is full-time housemaid to two tortoiseshell cats, Pi and Sienna.

Janie Zeigler

Nursery Attendant

Getting down on the floor to play and making up new games with little ones is always the best part of my day. I'm Janie Zeigler, a newlywed from Melbourne, Florida. I have 11 years of babysitting and nannying experience. I love spending time with children of all ages and I have experience with newborns to teenagers, and I have had the pleasure of working with special needs. I have a degree in Molecular Biology from Florida Tech and I am currently working full time with an insurance broker in Bogart. We moved to Athens a year ago to get to be near my twin nieces, and we love it here!

Outside of work, I love to play board games, swing dance, go camping, and craft. I look forward to getting to know the congregation and serving alongside of you! jgriffin2011@my.fit.edu
